BLUEPRINT OF A KUNG FU JOURNEY

Blueprint of a Kung Fu journey

I have been in this journey for about 50 years, on reflection am grateful of what I have accumulated. Let me share my thoughts and share a summary of what a good martial artist need to prepare what I term as a "Blueprint of a Kung Fu journey".
To come straight to the point, the following is the progressive step that I recommended:-
1. First decide what Art you want to learn ( sometimes is difficult as you yourself do not know what is suitable for yourself or the place you stay do not have the Art is would like to train in). You may go and experience a few Arts and finally decide on one or two. Don't worry, whatever you learned will be useful somehow or other.
2. Once you have decided on a particular Art, concentrate on it and very important to understand and extract its essence. If you find that is not what you want, then look for another.
3. Finally, you settle for an Art of your choice. focus on it, again look for the essence, dive deeply into it and absorb as much as possible. Practice all the possibilities it can offer. Compare what it has to offer with other Arts with an open eyes, unbiased, non-judgemental and accepting for what it is.
4. Let me present what Sao Lim Wing Chun has to offer. ( see my blog posts 1-19), which is part of the Blueprint if you choose to learn it. There are much more that Sao Lim Wing Chun can offer which we will cover subsequently in the coming blog posts.
